Do I need planning permission for a renovation?
For most internal renovation work — kitchens, bathrooms, garage conversions — planning permission isn’t required. However, some changes to windows, doors, or the external appearance of your home may need approval, particularly if you live in a listed building or conservation area. We’ll flag anything that needs checking before we start.
How disruptive will the work be?
It depends on the scale of the project, but we always work to minimise disruption to your daily life. For kitchen and bathroom work, we’ll discuss in advance how to keep the rest of your home functional while the build is underway. We work tidily, clean up at the end of each day, and won’t leave you without essential facilities any longer than necessary.
Can you handle the plumbing and electrics too, or do I need to organise those separately?
You won’t need to organise anything separately. We work with trusted local plumbers and electricians and coordinate their work as part of your project. You have one point of contact throughout — us — and we make sure everything is sequenced properly so the job runs smoothly.
How long does a renovation take?
A bathroom makeover typically takes one to two weeks. A full kitchen redesign usually takes two to three weeks, depending on the complexity. Garage conversions vary depending on the finish required. We’ll give you a clear timescale before we start and keep you updated throughout.
Can I supply my own materials or fixtures?
Absolutely. If you’ve already chosen your tiles, bathroom suite, kitchen units, or anything else, we’re happy to work with what you’ve sourced. We can also advise on suppliers and source materials on your behalf if you’d prefer to leave that side of things to us.
